Stollen
Stollen is a traditional German Christmas bead.
The snow white coating encases a flavourful sourdough bread interspersed with citrus fruits, raisins, spices, and almonds. All this is holding a marzipan core like a treasure waiting to be found.
This loaf makes a great addition to any meal. It will keep for a long time so it is good to have one slice at a time over a week or more if refrigerated or frozen.
